Boasting and self esteem

Do you know a boaster?

Someone who insists on telling you how successful they are, how qualifies they are, how much they earn, how good they are at certain things, how great their car is…and so it continues. Think about this, however irritating that boaster may seem, could it just be that they have low self esteem? Why would you ever need to boast about yourself if you were truly happy with yourself and valued yourself inside?
